My husband and I recently visited Amada inside the Ocean Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
This was our first time at Amada. I would love to share all about it, Amada Atlantic City has a beautiful atmosphere with ocean front views, a kind staff and exquisite delicious tapas.
The concept of the restaurant is mainly tapas, they also offer main entrees that are full size like their Pork chops which are next on my list.
Tapas are small portions of a Spanish dish. Somewhat like an appetizer that goes beyond your usual mozzarella sticks or buffalo wings.
We received a Tuna Tartar complementary from the chef Jose Garces. All the guest are treated this tasty dish, very nice of them.
What we order at Amada Atlantic City
CROQUETAS DE JAMÓN Ham Croquettes, Romesco $7
This dish is truly perfection, it has the perfect amount of crispness with a great salty/ sweet favor. Doesn’t this image says it all? Double tap if you agree!
My husband felt in love with them, if it wasn’t because we ordered other dishes, he said he would have ordered ten of them and that’s all he have eaten.
GAMBAS CON GARBANZOS Shrimp, Chorizo, Garbanzo Bean Purée $14
Statically beautiful, this is a flatbread with Shrimp, Chorizo, and Garbanzo Bean Purée. We asked for no garbanzo bean pure to reduce the carb intake. The dish was delicious but at $14 I don’t know if I would have it again, I feel like it didn’t stand out a lot like most of Chef Garces creations. Maybe most of the flavor was on the garbanzo pure.
ALBÓNDIGAS Lamb Meatballs, Shaved Manchego $14
This was my choice, the dish I was looking forward the most. Tender lamb meatballs resting on a creamy base, with a very mild flavor. Maybe after trying the croquettes and the tuna tartar every dish felt mild in taste. It comes with about 7-9 small meatballs, very fulfilling. Price is okay when considering that it is lamb.
After visiting their Atlantic City location, I found out that Amada is also in Philadelphia at 217-219 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. In this location they offer a happy hour food menu and guess what?! Their flavorful croquettes are part of it! Check out Amada Philadelphia Happy Hour Menu here
