Dior, the luxury French brand that helped restore Paris as the fashion capital of the world after the war.
We could talk about Christian Dior and how he build his fashion empire, but let’s not get off-topic and talk about the Cafe Dior pop-up located on the rooftop of the Dior store in the Miami Design District at 162 NE 39th St, Miami, FL 33137 on the third floor.
My high school friends and I decided to visit the cafe for brunch this past Sunday, we parked with Valet which was only $5.
To enter the cafe you must see someone like a host inside the Dior store who will grand you access to the elevator that takes you to the third floor, that is if there is no one waiting. If so, you will be added to a waiting list just like in a restaurant, where they call you once your table is ready.
Unfortunately for us, there was a waiting time of 50 min which we were fine with since we really wanted to experience it and see what all the hype was about, as well as take pictures because as we all have seen on social media, the Cafe Dior is gorgeous.
We walked, took pictures and joked around the Miami Design District while we waited to be called. It was a very hot and humid day. When they called us, we were tired but ready to seat and enjoy the cafe.
Once we arrived at the cafe, we were in shock by how hot it was up there, there are only a few floor fans around and shaded areas surrounding. But the place is so beautiful, it has an exquisite Toile or Toile de Jouy theme throughout, it’s very spacious and open.
The service was okay, it was very busy, so it’s understandable why it took a while to make our orders as well as to receive our drinks.
The cafe has a very relaxed feel, so go there with that layback mentality.
Overall it was a great experience, what I enjoyed the most was the decor and would definitely visit again, just that next time I am going after 4:00 PM on a weekday.
