I think we can all agree that the holiday season is one of the most tiresome seasons of them all.
That’s why I partnered up with Häagen-Dazs® to share with you an easy holiday dessert recipe – Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Float that has a premium taste for less.
This recipe features the loved Häagen-Dazs® Peppermint Bark Ice Cream and five more ingredients to make homemade hot chocolate.
Ingredients
1 carton of Häagen-Dazs® Peppermint Bark Ice Cream
1/2 cup cocoa powder (dutch processed with alkali)
2 cups whole milk
4 ounces dark chocolate
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup sugar
Preparation
In a medium mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, chocolate, and salt.
In a medium-sized saucepan on medium heat, bring milk to a near scalding boil. Pour milk immediately over the bowl of cocoa, sugar, chocolate, and salt. Allow it to sit for 1 minute.
Whisk slowly to combine. Continue whisking until the mixture is evenly combined and silky smooth. You can pass it through a fine-mesh strainer if there are lumps.
Pour hot chocolate evenly into mugs, scoop Häagen-Dazs® Peppermint Bark Ice Cream on top.
Optional: garnish with a candy cane or peppermint stick to bring more of the holiday spirit!!
